Também pode configurar as ligações de rede com o servidor DNS preferencial a ser utilizado na resolução de nomes de DNS. Para tal, clique em Iniciar, aponte para Definições e clique em Ligações de rede e acesso telefónico. Clique com o botão direito do rato na ligação a configurar, clique em Propriedades, clique em TCP/IP (Protocolo Internet) e clique em Propriedades. Seleccione Utilizar os seguintes endereços de servidor DNS e escreva o endereço IP do servidor DNS preferencial.

You can also configure the network connections with the preferred DNS server to be used for DNS name resolution. To do so, click Start, point to Settings, and then click Network and Dial-up connections. Right-click the connection to be configured, click Properties, click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and then click Properties. Select Use the following DNS server addresses, and then type the IP address of the preferred DNS server.
