Le applicazioni server che prevedono l'utilizzo delle credenziali predefinite del sistema, ad esempio il server directory, non potranno pertanto accettare connessioni SSL. Il problema non interessa le applicazioni che gestiscono le proprie credenziali, ad esempio Internet Information Server.
