Assemblies har kun adgang til dialogboksene Åbn fil og Gem fil og kan åbne og gemme filer ved hjælp af disse dialogbokse. Denne tilladelse giver assemblies mulighed for at hente indholdet af en fil eller gøre det permanent uden at åbne filen eller få tilladelse til at foretage filinput/-output i de pågældende filer.

Assemblies only have access to the Open File dialog box and Save File dialog box, and are permitted to open and save files through these dialogs. This permission allows assemblies to obtain or persist the contents of a file without opening the file or being granted File IO Permission to those files.
